Abschiedsessen der Gruppe afrikanischer Botschafter
On the 7th of November 2013, the Group of African Ambassadors in the Federal Republic of Germany, hosted by the Dean of African Ambassadors, H. E. Comla Paka, Ambassador of the Republic of Togo, held a farewell lunch on the occasion of the departure of H. E. Madjid Bouguerra, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
H. E. Ambassador Sitona Abdalla Osman attended the farewell lunch, which took place after the appointment of H. E. Madjid Bouguerra by H. E. President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on 11th September 2013 as the State Minister for African and Maghreb Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Peoples’ Democratic Republic of Algeria, and consequent leaving of his post as Ambassador.The Dean spoke on behalf of the Group, and thanked H. E. Ambassador Bouguerra for his valued contribution to the Group, as well as efforts made on behalf of his country towards strengthening the bilateral relationship with Germany. The Dean also wished him good luck on his new appointment.
H. E. Ambassador Bouguerra thanked the Group of African Ambassadors and remarked that he was very proud of having been a member of the African family, and to have been part of all the achievements of the Group, as well as the challenges faced over the years. He especially commended the Dean of the Group, H. E. Ambassador Paka, for his guidance and leadership of the Group.
The lunch was very well attended by Ambassadors of the African countries in Berlin.
