BREAKFAST MEETING HELD IN HOUNOR OF DR. ANNE ITTO THE DEPUTY AND ACTING SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE SPLM WITH AFRICAN LADY A AMBASSADORS
On invitation from Friedrich Ebert Foundation, the SPLM Deputy and acting Secretary General Dr. Anne Itto arrived Berlin on 16th March 2014 to participate in five days’ workshop the workshop “entitled the Political Situation in South Sudan”, Dr. Anne Itto was accompanied by Professor Samson Samuel Wassara from Juba University. At the margin of the visit of Dr. Anne Itto , on 17th March 2014 H.E Ambassador Sitona Abdalla Osman Ambassador of the Republic of South Sudan to Germany invited the African Lady Ambassadors for a breakfast at Dormero Hotel Brandenburger Hof Berlin, in honour of Dr. Itto. The breakfast meeting was well attended by African Lady Ambassadors as well as representatives from Friedrich Ebert Foundation and German Institute for International and Security Affairs. At Breakfast meeting the SPLM Deputy and acting Secretary General Dr. Anne Itto enlightened the invitees about the circumstances of the failed coup d’état in the Republic of South Sudan leaded by the former Vice President Dr.Riak Machar and his followers on 15th December 2013, in this regard comrade Itto illustrated the chronology of the political situation in the country before and after the failed coup d’état.Comrade Itto thanked IGAD and the International community for their role in peaceful efforts that aims to achieve peace and stability in the Republic of South Sudan.
